A 21 year old man who pleaded guilty to assault was told he would be given the benefit of the Probation Act, once he paid €750 in compensation.
Taigh Bergin Wolfe Tone Villas, Wexford was just 17 years of age on March 21, 2013 when he became involved in an altercation with Vincent Mulligan which started in a casino and then spilled out on to the road outside on Commercial Quay in Wexford.
Solicitor Tim Cummings told the court that the two men had since shaken hands.
He pointed out that the incident occurred several years ago. Bergin had gone on to father a child since and he was now employed full time as a scaffolder.
