Man pleads guilty to taking €35,000 digger and trailer

A MAN man who stole machinery with an estimated value of €35,000 was granted bail to allow him raise money towards compensation.
Zach Cambell, of 4 Grattan Park Lower, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, pleaded guilty when he came before Judge Barry Hickson at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court.
He had faces a charge of, between April 17, 2013, and April 20, 2013, stealing a Kabotu KX 71-3 Mini Excavator and an Ifor Williams Mart trailer with a total estimated value of €35,000, property of Trinity Hire Ltd., Trinity St., Wexford.
Defence Counsel, Soirse O Dunlaing, asked the court for an adjournment to November 1.
The defendant, he said, was originally on bail and was now looking for bail to allow an opportunity to raise money towards compensation. He said the digger had been recovered.
Prosecuting Counsel, Sinead Gleeson, said there was no objection to bail.
Mr. O Dunlaing informed the court that the defendant is in custody on another matter.
Judge Hickson granted bail in a personal bond of €300. He adjourned the case back to November 10 next.
