Murder verdict in Jason inquest

A verdict of murder was recorded in the inquest into the death of Wexford town man Jason Ryan on January 25, 2012.
Due to a thorough investigation, the coroner's court heard that the inquiry would be kept quite brief.
Detective Colm Dunne told the court that Jason was at his home in 14 Hollyville Heights with his partner. He went outside when he heard a knock on the door and received multiple stab wounds. A murder investigation was launched. James Connors was arrested and sentenced to life in prison for murder.
Dr Sean Nixon determined a verdict of death due to murder.
Sympathies were extended to the Ryan family.
Detective Dunne was complimented for his handling of the case.
