Widow was over the limit when she crashed into shop
A 70-year-old widow who crashed into a wall at the Londis Ferndale supermarket in Wexford not only incurred substantial injuries.
A blood sample taken from Noeleen O'Mahoney of Laurel Close, Coolcotts Lane in hospital disclosed that she was over the alcohol limit on May 9 last year.
Wexford District Court was told that Ms O'Mahoney's solicitor had since decided not to sign the form which would have allowed her to renew her driving licence.
Judge Gerard Haughton imposed a fine of €300 for the offence as well as recording the mandatory two year ban from driving.
