A closure order was served on The Crescent View Restaurant last month for the second time in four months for breaches of food safety legislation.
The closure order which was served under the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations 2010 was served at the restaurant on Crescent Mall, Crescent Quay in Wexford town on October 22. It was served on Mohamed Elnashar by environmental health officers in the HSE following breaches of food safety legislation from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
The Crescent View Restaurant was previously subject to a closure last July when it was closed for one day on July 15 because of a breach of the FSAI Act 1998. This was lifted the following day when the food safety legislation was complied with.
A Closure Order is served where it is deemed that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at or in the premises; or where an Improvement Order is not complied with. The order was still in effect at the time of going to press.
