Curracloe singer/ songwriter Niall Cash has seen his new EP shoot up the charts since he launched it in his hometown and in Dublin.

In the days following its release, 'The Frames Have Cracked' reached number one in the Irish singer-songwriter album download charts on iTunes, pipping artists like James Bay, Ed Sheeran and Gavin James to the post. The EP also climbed its way to the top of the iTunes album download charts in Ireland, reaching number three over the weekend.

'I wasn't expecting it to chart in iTunes, I was just happy to have it released so it was a bit crazy but it was pretty cool to see my name beside my idols like Ben Howard and James Bay in the songwriter charts. Surpassing Adele briefly in the album charts was a pretty cool thing to be able say too!' said Niall.

Niall's latest release features four self-written tracks which incorporate a blend of indie, folk and pop influences. Earlier this month, he returned to his roots to launch it at Wexford Arts Centre in front of a large crowd.
