Daniel is the CBS Student of the Year

Daniel Lynch was awarded the Coláiste Éamonn Rís Leaving Certificate Student of the Year 2016 medal recently, recognising his top of the class performance in the State Exam.

Daniel is a son of Pat and Dolores Lynch, from Barrack Street, in Wexford town and received his primary school education in Wexford CBS Primary School before transferring to the secondary school in 2010.

He is currently studying Actuarial Maths in DCU, following in the footsteps of his older brother Terry and was recently awarded an Entrance Scholarship from the university based on his outstanding Leaving Certificate results.

He is the youngest of eight brothers to pass through the school.

Daniel, a Faythe Harriers clubman, is also a talented sportsman, having representing the school in both football and hurling.

He was also a member of the Wexford Minor Hurling panel in 2016.
