Declan bringing history to life for charity

Adopted Wexfordian Declan Breslin (pictured) will be bringing history to life for audiences for three nights during Wexord Opera Festival. Declan is well known for his wonderful portrayal of former U.S. President John F Kennedy and a new show which will portray President Kennedy's historic visit Wexford 50 years ago.

'It's going to be a great show,' said Declan. 'We have a cast of about 20 people involved and we're all really looking forward to it. Rehearsal's have been going very well and we can't wait until it's showtime.'

The show has a distinctly Wexford feel as all actors taking part are from Wexford, each night will be sponsored by a Wexford business and each night will raise money for a local charity.

The show will run at 8 p.m. on October 27, 28 and 29. The first night will be sponsored by Unique Boutique in Enniscorthy and part of the proceeds will go towards the Hope Cancer Support Centre.

JP Delaney Auctioneers will sponsor the second night will part of the proceeds going to Wexford Hospice Homecare and Mackens of the Bull Ring will sponsor the third night with proceeds going to Wexford Meals on Wheels.

All in all it promises to be a great night of living, breathing history and it will bring to life one of the most momentous occasions in Wexford's recent history.

Tickets for the night are available from White's Hotel and are priced at €10, and each ticket will also cover entry into a raffle with some wonderful prizes such as a weekend away, meals for two, hampers and much more.
