Disbelief as An Post says it takes two years to bring out new stamp

IF IT takes An Post up to three years to produce a new stamp, Cllr. George Lawlor wouldn't like to see them producing a brochure.
The print company owner couldn't believe An Post's response to a Wexford Borough Council request for a stamp to commemmorate the 1911 Lock-Out.
In a letter to the local authority, the postal company said it takes two to three years to bring out a new stamp and it wouldn't be possible to have one ready for 2011.
'I'd like to see how long it would take if you asked them for a 42-page brochure', said Cllr. Lawlor at a Council meeting.
Cllr. Joe Ryan said he received a letter from An Post, explaining that the stamp had been ordered for 2012.
