Don't leave valuables in parked cards - Wexford gardai
GARDAI have warned people not to leave valuables in cars in unattended car parks following a spate of incidents in and around Wexford.
On Tuesday, July 18, a car was broken into at the National Heritage Park at around 2 p.m. and a purse containing €30 was stolen; on Thursday, July 20, a car was broken into after its rear window was smashed at Crossfarnogue, Kilmore Quay, between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. and a handbag with items valued at €300 was stolen and at 2.20 p.m. at the Boro Golf Club, at Rosslare Strand, a handbag containing €80 in cash was stolen after a car was broken into. 'We would advise people not to leave valuables in parked cars,' said Inspector Denis Whelan. He said valuables locked in boots were not secure either.
