Drama group show continues

Wexford Drama Group's much talked about production of the Marina Carr play 'Portia Coughlan' is continuing in Wexford Arts Centre this coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 23, 24 and 25 at 8pm nightly.

The play which is the drama group's 2017 entry in the Amateur Drama Circuit of Ireland features Shonagh Lyons in the title role of a tormented woman still struggling to come to terms with the death of her twin brother 15 years earlier.

The cast also includes Hilda Conway, Thomas O' Leary, Donal O'Brien, Eugene McLaughlin, John Crosbie, Alan Fitzhenry, Louise Wickham Dillon, Catherine Walsh, Jeannette Sidney Kelly and Ronan O'Byrne. Set design and lighting are by Mark Redmond and Pip Walsh. The costume mistress is Fiona Grant. Sound design is by Pat Jackman with hair and make-up by assistant director Stephen Byrne and props by Carol Long.The director is Paul Walsh who won the All-Ireland Best Director award for another Marina Carr play 'By the Bog of Cats' ten years ago.To book tickets telephone 053 9123764 or go to www.wexfordartscentre.ie.
