Drone's eye view of the Wexford fireworks

Wexford drone pilot Páid Bates took to the night skies over the Wexford Quays on Wednesday night, the first pilot to get permission from the Irish Aviation Authority to fly a drone at night, enabling him to capture this spectacular image as the town celebrated the opening of the Festival Opera with a dazzling fireworks display.
Páid, who started his new company SkyPix Aerial Works, in September, said he put his drone up at about 400 feet, about 500 metres from the end of Wexford Bridge.
While weather conditions were dry there was a stiff breeze blowing 'which made things a little difficult.'
'The machine was able to handle it though,' he said.
