Drop in the number of people on Live Register

The total number of people on the Live Register in Wexford has dropped by 1,568 in the past year according to the latest figures.
Figures released by the Central Statistics Office last week show that the total number of people signing on the Live Register during August 2015 was 15,644, a drop of 1,568 from August 2014.
Of the 15,644 people signing on the register 5,384 are signing on in Wexford town, 4,066 are signing on in Enniscorthy, 3,461 are signing on in Gorey and the remaining 2,733 are signing on in New Ross.. All four county towns saw a drop in the number of people signing on in the last year.
Of the 15,644 people signing on a total of 2,359 are under the age of 25 years while the remaining 13,285 are over the age of 25 years.
In the entire county a total of 1,307 men under the age of 25 years are signing on. 456 of these are in Wexford town, 366 in Ennicorthy, 262 in Gorey and 223 in New Ross. A total of 7,715 men over the age of 25 years signed on during August. 2,714 of these were in Wexford, 2073 were in Enniscorthy, 1,603 were in Gorey and 1,325 were in New Ross.
1.052 women under the age of 25 years are signing on in the county while 5,570 were aged 25 years and old. Of the 1,052 under the age of 25 years 349 were signing on in Wexford, 300 in Enniscorthy, 250 in Gorey and 153 in New Ross.
Of those aged 25 years and old 1,865 were in Wexford, 1,346 in Gorey, 1,327 in Enniscorthy and 1,032 in New Ross.
