Duo are coming back to Wexford
'JEDICATED' Wexford fans of Eurovision twins Jedward will have at least two opportunities to catch the Lucan 'Lipstick' lads this summer.
On June 26 the hair-raising pair will give an afternoon performance in the Enniscorthy Showgrounds as part of the Strawberry Festival, while the duo will return to Wexford Opera House with their new ' Carnival' tour on August 19.
The voluminous haired twins came a cropper when they last visited the Opera House stage when John damaged an ankle at one of their two sell out gigs in April.
The high-energy Grimes brothers were undeterred, however, and John delighted fans in the evening show by performing from a wheelchair.
Tickets for the twins, who have seen their international popularity surge since their performance at Eurovision on Saturday, are already selling well for the August gig in the Opera House.
'A quarter of the house is already booked out, and that's without any publicity at all,' said Elizabeth Rose-Browne of Wexford Opera House.
The boys, who have won over many of their detractors and earned a new following of 'Jedheads' since Eurovision, were No.2 in the German download charts, No.3 in Austria and topping the charts in Sweden and Ireland at the start of this week.
The feel-good factor of Jedward was palpable in Wexford last time out, with parents and children alike enjoying the fun and frantic show.
The Carnival tour will also have an added bonus for fans as special guests will include Britain's Got Talent finalists ' Twist & Pulse' who wowed audiences with their form of street dancing 'Steetomedy' last year. 2fm DJ Damien Farrelly will also be on hand to raise the roof for this performance.
Fellow Opera House sell out act Cry Before Dawn have also confirmed a performance in the Showgrounds, Enniscorthy, during this years Strawberry Festival. Other confirmed headliners include Ali Campbell and his UB40 band and the Saw Doctors.
