Eleanor's Naked Music
The Kilrane-based songwriter and musician Eleanor McEvoy, left, has published a unique songbook in a collaboration with the English painter Chris Gollon.
The publication, called Naked Music, contains lyrics and melodies from the songs on her 12th studio album along with portrait photos and 24 prints of Gollon's paintings which were inspired by her music. The project began after McEvoy bought a painting of Gollon's called 'Champagne Stella' in a London gallery and asked him to do the art work for the album cover.
The songbook, a first for the musician who wrote 'Only a Woman's Heart' will be in bookshops from August 30 and is online from Hot Press Books at €16.95.
