Elizabeth's main job was caring for her children

Elizabeth Roche 'Lily Maye' formerly from Rochestown, Ballymitty, Wexford passed away peacefully at her home in England with her family by her side on July 6, aged 80 years.

She will sadly be missed by all her family and friends.

Elizabeth was born in Ballymitty October 28, 1936 to Philomena and James Maye, she had three sisters and three brothers.

In 1955, Elizabeth met her future husband Peter Roche at a social dance, which were regularly held in Wexford town.

Four years later, the two got married in Taghmon July 13, 1959 in a double wedding with Elizabeth's sister Bridie who got married to Peter's best friend James Browne.

After their wedding, they moved to England where they lived in London until 1965 before moving to Letchworth. The couple welcomed five children - Peter, David, Richard, Caroline and Linda.

Throughout the years Elizabeth had various jobs, however she felt her main job was looking after her children. Elizabeth and Peter have 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth will always be loved by her family and forever in their thoughts and hearts. The months mind Mass will be Sunday, August 6, at 9.30 a.m., in Trinity church, Taghmon.
