European greats for New Ross Piano Fest
Talented European pianists Cedric Tiberghien and Alexei Grynyuk are appearing at the New Ross Piano Festival this year.
The festival takes place from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, September 27, throughout New Ross.
Both in the prime of their careers, Tiberghien and Grynyuk will take part in all the main concerts, including the concert in St Mary's & St Michael's Parish Church. Tiberghien's flourishing international career spans five continents and has taken him to some of the world's most prestigious halls, including, most recently, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Centre.
Tiberghien is also a dedicated chamber musician, with regular partners including violinist Alina Ibragimova, violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Pieter Wispelwey. His passion for chamber music is reflected in numerous recordings.
Kiev-born pianist Alexei Grynyuk displayed tremendous interest in music from his early childhood and at just six years old started giving his first concerts. He has achieved numerous awards at international piano competitions including first prizes.
