Budding television stars across the county can have their chance to take part in TG4's new historical series at a casting this weekend.

Ripple World Pictures will hold a tv casting in the Wexford Arts Centre this Saturday January 23 for a new Irish historical series that will be filmed in the Irish National Heritage Park. There are roles for adult women and men of all ages and appearances, though there's a preference for men with beards.

There are several male adult roles to be filled including: Roman Consular, an 8th Century Priest, King Connor, Culann (Blacksmith), Fionn Mac Cuhaill and Setanta's Mother. For females, there are two roles to audition for - Sadhbh Mac Cuhaill and Setanta's Mother.

Due to a huge response to the initial casting call, the casting due is no longer set to be open to all. Those interested must email doc@rippleworld.com to register their interest along with a photo and some basic information about themselves. Budding extras must be available for filming in the Irish National Heritage Park on February 9 and 11. Successful entrants will be contacted to attend Saturday's audition.
