Female motorist drove at twice the speed limit
A WOMAN who drove at 103 km in a 50 km zone was fined €400 by Judge Gerard Haughton at Wexford District Court.
Maria Tierney, Galbally, Curracloe pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Castlebridge on November 14, 2011.
Inspector Pat Mcdonald said it was 8.45 a.m. and there was moderate to heavy traffic in the area at the time.
He added that there were children standing on the side of the road for school bus.
Cormac Dunleavy solicitor said his client had some personal diffiuclties and was not concentrating on her speed. Her mind was elsewhere.
