Fitness fanatics raise €8,000 for Hospice

ENERGETIC fundraisers stepped up to the plate recently to raise cash for Wexford Hospice.

Siobhan O'Keefe was one of the organisers of a 24 hour circuit training marathon which saw nearly 150 health enthusiasts work out for Wexford hospice.

'It was all supervised by Ollie Gogarty and lots of people took part. It was really great. Some people even brought along their kids,' said Siobhan.

The event was held in Step by Step Dance Studio in Westpoint and participants took it in turns to complete half hour circuit training routines.

' There were ten stations and people did everything from pushups to kettle bells,' said Siobhan.

So far €3,000 has been raised as sponsorship cards come rolling in.

'I'd expect to maybe have €1,000 more than that. Every cent will go to Wexford hospice,' she said.
