Five males arrested in Bunclody as part of Operation Thor
Five males have been arrested by gardai in Wexford as part of the ongoing Operation Thor.
The five were arrested shortly after 3pm on Thursday, January 7, when a van failed to stop for gardaí when signalled to do so at Drumberry, Bunclody.
The van was abandoned a short distance away and the occupants fled on foot. They were arrested a short distance away. A number of items such as gloves and a hammer were found concealed in the vehicle.
The five males who range in age from early 20s to early 30s, and including a juvenile were detained at Enniscorthy Garda station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Four men are due to appear at a special sitting of Gorey District Court today, Friday, at 11am. The juvenile has been released without charge and file to be forwarded to Juvenile Liaison Office.
