GARDAI arrested five people in Wexford on Tuesday morning as part of a national operation targeting the sale and supply of heroin,

In an operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit and detectives, drugs and uniform personnel from Wexford and New Ross Garda Stations, officers from Revenues Customs Service and with assistance provided by the Regional Armed Support Unit, a premises in Drinagh was searched and five people were arrested,

The four men and one woman, ranging in ages from their 60s to their 20s, are detained at New Ross, Enniscorthy and Gorey Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.
