A WEXFORD man charged with forging prescriptions and presenting them at local pharmacies has been sentenced to 140 hours community service.
John Collins (31), with addresses listed on court documents at the Pinewood Estate, Mount Prospect, Peter Street and Cluain Dara, was charged with presenting the prescriptions at Sam McCauley's at Whitemill in May 2009; at Kavanagh's Pharmacy in December 2009, and at McNamara's Pharmacy in Key West in April 2010.
He was further charged with stealing paint supplies from Selskar Bookshop in April 2009. Collins admitted committing the offence and evidence had been heard on a previous date.
Judge O Buachalla ordered him to complete 140 hours of community service in lieu of two months in prison.
