Four local projects in Young Scientists
Four projects from three Wexford schools have qualified for next year's BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
FCJ Bunclody, Meanscoil Gharman and Loreto Wexford have been chosen to take part in the exhibition from January 11 to 14.
FCJ Bunclody have two qualified entries: 'Measuring Radon awareness in a High Risk Area' in the Social and Behavioural Science category and 'The DoneDeal Experience', also in the same category.
Meanwhile, Meanscoil Gharman's 'Funky Focail App' has qualified in the Technology category.
Loreto Wexford have a qualified entry in the Social and Behavioural Sciences category entitled 'An Investigation into the Public's Attitudes and Perceptions Towards Antibiotic Use and Antimicrobial Resistance'.
This year, three Wexford projects were exhibited at the event in the RDS. Two entries came from FCJ Bunclody, while the other was from Loreto Wexford. Time commitment and low acceptance rates were the main reasons Wexford principals gave for not taking part.
