Gardai say response to appeal 'magnificent'

An officer stands guard beside a car at Talbot Green, taped off as part of the investigation.
WEXFORD gardai received a 'magnificent' response to their appeal for public assistance following the shock murder of Jason Ryan.
A senior garda involved in the investigation, said the level of public co-operation has been 'something to behold'.
' The response was magnificent. During all our house-to-house enquiries, everyone has been extremely helpful and co-operative,' he said.
'It's something I have encountered before during other serious crime investigations in Wexford - the people of Wexford are exceptionally good.'
'People are shocked and stunned when something like this happens in their own area,' he added.
A large team of Wexford gardai have been working round-the-clock since the investigation was launched.
Uniformed gardai conducted door-to-door enquiries in Hollyville Heights and the surrounding areas in the aftermath of the killing.
Householders living close to the scene of the attack in Hollyville were interviewed straight away.
Residents leaving their homes early on Wednesday morning to go to work and bring children to school, were approached by gardai asking if they had seen or heard anything unusual the night before.
CCTV footage from private cameras mounted in the estate were taken away by investigating officers for viewing along with CCTV records around the time of the killing from other other locations in the town.
