RESIDENTS who store rubbish in their back gardens are being pursued by Wexford County Council.
Cllr Davy Hynes said: 'People are saving up rubbish and burning it in bonfires. They are using children to bring mattresses to the fire. Wexford County Council will have to come down hard on some of these people as they are making their neighbours' lives hell. These people are at their wits end. They feel intimidated if they say anything.'
Cllr Kavanagh said people are storing up rubbish in their back gardens which is attracting vermin.
He said anti social behaviour takes place in all estates across the county.
'We are working with the guards on it. I have signed a number of cases recently involving people who have been storing their rubbish in their houses and in domestic and business units. This is an ongoing issue and it isn't a simple one to solve. If we receive reports we will act on them but there is an issue of people reporting incidents.'
