Great standard from all artists

COUNTY FINALS OF THE ART COMPETITION

CASTLEBRIDGE COMMUNITY Centre was the venue for the county finals of the boys' and girls' art competitions recently.

There were very good entries once again, with 47 competing in the Under-8s, 54 in the Under-10s, 45 in the Under-12s, 37 in the Under-14s, and then dwindling away in the Under-16 section where just nine entrants took part.

Grateful thanks to the local committee for hosting the event and to all who helped out in any way with its smooth running. Thanks are also extended to the Community Centre committee for having the rooms nice and cosy for the children, and to the judges who came along and gave of their time.
