Hill Street pavement blues in Wexford
PAVEMENT potholes on Hill Street reported to council engineers almost a month ago have still not been dealt with, according to Cllr George Lawlor.
Charlotte Lahiff Creane said she nearly broke her neck going into her mother Anna's house on Hill Street, describing the stretch of broken path as 'an accident waiting to happen'.
She reported the dangerous stretch to Cllr Lawlor asking for the pavement to be repaired.
Cllr Lawlor said he had reported the problem 'directly' to the council's engineers using the new 'streamlined' members' reporting system and hoped it would be urgently dealt with.
However, Cllr Lawlor said he checked last week and the pavement was still in some poor condition.
