THE owner of a holiday home has been left with the headache for the fourth time, of paying for the disposal of rubbish which was illegally dumped on his land.

'It's mostly building material,' said Eric Farley of Kilmuckridge, who discovered the building material on his property at Kenny's Burrow in Ardamine recently. 'They're all very heavy bags, so we may need a digger to lift them. I'll have to hire somebody with a large trailer to load it and take it to the dump, and then pay the dumping fees as well.'

'This is the fourth time this has happened,' he continued. 'The last time, they left jeep tyres and garden equipment. This time, there was a pink child's armchair and a distinctive yellow bag. I'm hoping someone might recognise it so they can say who they paid to get it removed. I know there's just a faint hope of finding out who is responsible for this,' he admitted. The rubbish was dumped on private land so the Council is unable to help.
