Information evening to highlight signs of underdiagnosed iron overload disorder
An information evening in the recently renamed Clayton Whites Hotel will raise awareness of Haemochromatosis and outline some of its key symptoms.
On Tuesday November 17 at 8.45 p.m., Consultant Physician at Wexford General Hospital Dr Colm Quigley will give a public talk about the hereditary iron overload disorder. Despite being more prevalent in Ireland than anywhere else in the world, Haemochromatosis is also often underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed. This meeting, which is organised by the Irish Haemochromatosis Association, will provide an opportunity to talk to experts in the field about the potentially fatal disorder. All are welcome to attend.
