A MAN who failed to appear in court on insurance charges, told Judge O Buachalla at Wexford District Court that he wasn't good at dates.
John Nugent, Coolraheen, Taghmon was arrested on foot of a bench warrant when he didn't turn up in court on an earlier date.
'I'm not good at dates. I'm not able to read,' he told Judge O Buachalla.
The defendant who is facing a number of charges of driving without insurance, said he believed he was insured.
Detective Garda Pat O'Brien said this was the second bench warrant issued against the defendant in relation to the same case.
He added that the accused had given him three addresses - Rackardstown, Kilmore; Coolraheen, Taghmon and Shano, Foulksmills.
The defendant said his address was now Rackardstown, Kilmore but he had previously lived at the other addresses.
Judge O Buachalla asked him if he believed he had been insured. ' Yes, the whole time,' said the defendant.
The case was adjourned to July 5.
