People from Wexford town and its environs brewed up funds as part of Ireland's Biggest Coffee morning and as a result, €14,329.57 came pouring in for Wexford Hospice Homecare.

Approximately 25 coffee mornings were held on the day in public centres and private homes in areas such as Wexford town, Clonard, Kilrane, Camross, Killurin and Crossabeg. All of the funds raised were donated to Wexford Hospice Homecare and will be used to fund local services.

The event, which is sponsored by Bewleys, is a national initiative that raises funds for hospice care nationwide. In a statement after the event, the Wexford Hospice Homecare Committee extended their gratitude to all who organised and supported the coffee mornings for once again this year.

Coffee mornings were also organised in other areas of Wexford, pulling in more money for the cause.
