Local personality Maggie Hurley is looming large as an election candidate on social media and some people think that if she did stand she would be in with a chance.

Maggie's picture on a lamp post appealing for your number ones, was posted on the Wexford Corporation facebook page.

Not surprisingly, it received a good response with people wishing her good luck and asking whether she was really going for election, not that anyone was saying.

One response, from Robert Belton, made the point that Maggie was a lot better known that most of the people standing.

'She might be in with a shot of getting elected.'
