Wexford library will be full of colour this month when Welsh-born actor and writer, Joe Neal visits to launch his third poetry collection - Hear The Colour.
The Castlebridge resident has attracted much attention in the county in the past, with great crowds turning up to the launch of his second collection in Wexford last year. Wexford-born author, Eoin Colfer, has also given Neal's poetry great praise, saying that it is 'a pleasure to read'.
'He paints a layered and subtle picture of days gone by. His poems are warm, graceful and keenly observed,' he said.
With his third collection, Joe said that he hopes to keep the reader entertained and interested.
'So many of us had bad experiences in our schooldays, being force-fed with classical poems which did not relate to our own experiences of living,' he added.
Hear the Colour will be launched at Wexford Library on Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m.. All are welcome to attend and refreshments will be provided.
