Kettlebell challenge to test volunteers' mettle

Conor CULLEN

A GROUP OF charitable Wexford people are going to undertake an endurance challenge in aid of Wexford Hospice Homecare.

The 12-hour kettlebell challenge will take place on Saturday, April 24 at the Total Fitness System gym at Westpoint in Wexford town, a one of a kind strength and conditioning facility.

Up to 30 locals have already signed up to participate in the challenge, which will see the participants, men and women, from those in their early teens to their early 70s, perform the traditional kettlebell lift, the clean and jerk, in shifts for 12 hours straight.

Many of these are already training with instructor Mick Kelly at the gym so he will no doubt have them wellprepared when the big day arrives later this month.

By performing this challenging lift from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. all proceeds for this most worthy charity will certainly be hard earned!

To find out more information contact Mick on 0862621488.
