Kilrane walk for awareness
Both old and young completed a 5K walk around the Kilrane area to help raise awareness about special needs and to also promote a healthier lifestyle.
The Special Needs Awareness committee in Kilrane National School gave the community a chance to participate in a walk to help recognise that there are many children and adults within the community of Kilrane who need extra support.
After a few words of thanks and encouragement from Principal Eoin Ó'Donnagáin, Eileen Rowe started a warm-up with the 300 participants.
Children were entertained on the day by a balloon maker, a great team of face painters, and a bouncy castle, while they also had access to the new school playground.
The committee would like to thank volunteers, participants and sponsors for their support.
