Knife sellers at 11 p.m.
CHIEF Superintendent John Roche has said the problem of marauding thieves is so bad in the county that on one occasion men called to a farm house at 10.30 p.m. looking to sell knives.
Supt Roche said: 'Who would do that. It was only after we heard about this three days later by which time it was very late.'
He said thieves and burglars are stealing everything from electric fences, to farm machinery out in fields, while a lot of farm machinery and tools were stolen during a recent storm as the thieves knew the residents would be indoors.
