Last in series of science lectures

SCIENTISTS of Wexford will be interested to hear that the final in a series of science and discovery lectures by Brendan Wallace will take place at Wexford Town Library on Wednesday April 25 at 7 p.m.

The topic up for discussion is 'Special Relativity' and the lecture will cover the crisis in physics in the nineteenth century, examining how Einstein asserted relativity and the universality of 'c'. The lecture will cover why synchronising clocks is not as simple as it seems, and will explore paradoxes such as, can you be younger than your twin and can a ten metre train really fit in a nine metre shed?
