Lecture on digging medieval Wexford town

Wexford Historical Society will present its first lecture of the new season on Wednesday, September 30, in St. Michael's Centre, Green St. at 8 p.m. The title of the lecture is 'Digging Medieval Wexford: the evidence from the walled town' with speaker archaeologist Emmet Stafford, a graduate of TCD.

A professional archaeologist since the 1990s, Wexford-based Emmet was director of excavations at the Theatre Royal, White's Hotel and other sites in Wexford town.

He has a particular interest in maritime archaeology.

Emmet is a member of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland.
