Maritime history will be made and relived as five historic RNLI lifeboats make their journey next week through the entrance into Wexford Harbour where their sister lifeboat, the James Stevens was once stationed.

Historic lifeboats from Northern Ireland, England and Wales are setting out this week to make the long journey to Wexford, for this year's Maritime Festival.

These boats are all retired RNLI lifeboat are lovingly cared for by their owners and all in perfect working order. The Whitby rowing life boat is one of the few rowing lifeboat still surviving.

These lovely old boats will be on display on Wexford Quay front over the Maritime Festival weekend from Friday evening June 24 to Sunday, June 26.
