Crossabeg's bright young star Caoimhe Ryan was awarded for her talent recently when she received the High Achiever Award from the Royal Irish Academy.

The 17-year old Loreto student was awarded the prestigious prize at a special ceremony in Carlow for her outstanding marks in her Grade 6 Musical Theatre Exams. Having studied with the Wexford School of Music for six years, her friends, family and teacher Aileen O' Donoghue were delighted and proud to see Caoimhe's talent recognised.

The excitement is set to continue for Caoimhe, who is set to perform in the upcoming production of Les Miserables between Loreto and St Peter's College. She will be one of the many students gracing the stage for the highly-anticipated joint production in Dun Mhuire Theatre from December 7-10.
