Making staff aware of dementia issues

Wexford Chamber have teamed up with Bluebird Care Wexford and the DCU Dementia Elevator team to bring Wexford businesses complimentary Dementia Awareness Training for frontline staff on Wednesday, April 6, in the Wexford Chamber offices, Hill Street, Wexford from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The event aims to equip customer facing staff, whether a local shop or a large multiple organisation, with the skills to support and engage appropriately with customers who suffer from dementia.

While primarily focused around the retail environment and employees dealing with the general public, the content of this training programme is widely applicable to families of a person with dementia or anyone who wishes to learn more about dementia.

This free event is open to Chamber members and non-members. Pre-booking is essential.
