Man flown to hospital after digger accident

A MAN in his 70s was airlifted to hospital after he was seriously injured in an accident with a mini-digger.
The man, named locally as Donald Cave, who comes from the Bridgetown area, was flown to Waterford Hospital by helicopter after being treated at the scene for serious injuries to one of his feet following the accident near Mulrankin Church.
The helicopter was called by the paramedic from the ambulance service who treated Mr Cave.
It isn't clear how the accident happened when Mr Cave was reportedly driving the mini-digger.
