Man sorry

A PROBATION Officer's Report has been sought in the case of a Taghmon man, charged with being drunk in public, who was warned by Judge O Buachalla that if he comes before the court again on these matters he would have to impose a custodial sentence.

Garda Rackard told last Tuesday's sitting of New Ross District Court that he was on duty in Taghmon on April 10 last and driving down the Main Street when Leroy Dunne of 37 Monastery Avenue, Taghmon, shouted 'what the f**k am I looking at'.

'I'd like to apologise to the court and to Garda Rackard,' said the defendant.

The matter was adjourned for penalty till December 20.
