A unanimous decision was made by the councillors to elect Wexford Mayor Cllr Ger Carthy, pictured, to the Wexford Borough Twinning Committee to fill the vacant seat left by the late Fergie Kehoe.

Cllr George Lawlor said that he felt it would be 'fitting' that Mayor Carthy take the seat on the twinning committee. All were in favour of his proposal.
