Members of Wexford and Kilscoran youth club go global at annual summer camp
Kids got cultural at the Wexford and Kilscoran Youth Club Camp recently which was proved as popular as ever in its third year.
The annual camp took place in St Iberius National School where the children followed a programme called 'Go Global'. The aim of the programme, which was attended by 66 children and teenagers, was to teach about how the Christian family have spread across the world. According to Louise Evans, one of the camp's Youth Officers, the theme was brought to life with an array of fun-filled activities.
'We had an exciting programme full of drama, stories, games, crafts and more,' she said. 'On the last day, parents were invited to the last hour of the camp where they had the opportunity to view everything that their children had learned.'
Members of the Wexford and Kilscoran Youth Club also went on some exciting adventures recently, including a visit to Clara Lara Fun Park and a camping trip to Raven's Rest in Wicklow. Some of the older members will make an overnight trip to Oakwood Theme Park in August.
