Singer Michael Londra was honoured for his work as a Wexford Ambassador with a reception at the National Opera House last Thursday night.
Thirty guests, all fans of Michael's, had travelled from the USA and even from Australia for a tour of Ireland, were present at the function hosted by Visit Wexford.
Civic officials included Tony Larkin and Siobhan O'Neill and Damien Lynch from Visit Wexford, with the Mayor Cllr. George Lawlor and Minister Brendan Howlin also in attendance. Michael's parents Mick and Margie, and sister Majella, were also present.
The US visitors were from Californa, Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa.
Michael last week celebrated his 50th birthday with a party at the piano bar at the Thomas Moore attended by family and friends from throughout Ireland, including former nursing colleagues.
