THE family of Fiona Sinnott who disappeared 18 years ago today (February 9) have renewed their appeal for anyone with information, however small, to come forward.

'She's always in my thoughts, we just want know what happened to her,' said her sister Diane.

Fiona Sinnott was last seen leaving Butler's Bar in Broadway, near Rosslare shortly after midnight on 9 February 1998.

The 19-year-old had been there on a night out with friends. No trace has ever been found of Fiona, whose daughter was 11 months old at the time she disappeared.

Diane said she was not aware of any new leads or information on Fiona, who had been living at Ballyhit, following a flurry of reports last year of digs taking place in areas of south Wexford.

In 2005, a man described as a prime suspect, was arrested and questioned over Fiona's disappearance, but was subsequently released.

'Unfortunately there's no fresh news,' said Diane. Anyone who has any information can contact Wexford Gardai on (053) 9165200.
