A Wexford man who walked out of Shelton Abbey Open Prison three weeks ago, is still at large.

Martin Connors, who was serving a three-year sentence for the manslaughter of his brother Michael in Belvedere Grove in 2011, hasn't been seen since he briefly turned up in the Barntown area of Wexford, the day after absconding from the open prison to which he had been transferred from Portlaoise.

His eldest brother, Thomas, said on Monday (May 18) that the family had no idea where Thomas was.

'I haven't a clue where he is. I just don't know, Thomas told this newspaper.

Last week, Martin Connors' wife Patrice, the last member of the family to see him, said she didn't know whether he was dead or alive.

Gardai, who came close to catching him on April 29, when he was in the Barntown area, have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
