Mistreated dog mistaken for bag blowing in the wind
The WSPCA said that a dog it is now looking after was in such a bad state that the woman who found him mistook him for a bag blowing around in the wind.
The bichon was found outside Wexford town in the lashing rain and wind over the weekend, severely matted and bound with rope.
In fact, the dog was in such a horrendous conditon that he had to be sedated before his thickly-matted coat could be removed.
'Since then he is like a new dog,' said a WSPCA spokesperson.
'We are now on the look out to get him a lovely foster home once he is ready to leave the vets and then a lovely new forever home. If you are interested in fostering/rehoming this handsome little man contact 053 9143919.
